This is another old recipe. But it is still a very good refrigerator dessert!
Pretzel Jello Dessert
Ingredients
2 cups crushed pretzels
3/4 cup melted butter
3 Tbsp sugar
8 oz. pkg cream cheese
1 cup sugar
8 oz. cool whip, thawed
2-3oz. pkg. strawberry gelatin
2 cup boiling water
2 - 10 oz. pkg frozen strawberries, partially thawed
Directions
Heat oven to 400 degrees
In medium bowl, combine pretzels, butter and 3 Tbsp sugar. Press in bottom of 9x13 pan. Bake 8 minutes. Cool.
in a small mixer bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add 1 cup sugar. Beat until smooth. Fold in cool whip. Spread on cooled crust. Refrigerate.
In medium bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in strawberries. Mix until strawberries are thawed and spread out in gelatin. Pour over cream cheese mixture in pan. Refrigerate until firm.
