Swedish Apple Pie

I am not sure where I got this recipe from.  It is a pie without a crust.  

Swedish Apple Pie

Ingredients

Apples to fill pie pan, 6-8
1 Tbsp cinnamon
1 Tbsp sugar

1 1/4 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 beaten egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup nuts


Directions

Use a 9 inch glass pie pan.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Fill pie pan with sliced apples, not heaping, more level.  Sprinkle with the cinnamon and 1 Tbsp sugar.

Melt the butter.  Add the sugar, flour, egg, vanilla and nuts.  Mix well.  Pour over apples.

Bake 50-60 minutes, top should be brown.
