This is a frosting my mom used to make all the time. We had it on a lot of our cakes.
White Mountain Frosting
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 c water
- 2 T. corn syrup
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 cup miniature marshmallows
- 1 tsp. vaanilla
Directions
- Boil sugar, water and syrup until it spins a thread about 6 inches long.
- Beat 2 egg whites until stiff - add syrup mixture and 1/2 cup miniature marshmallows. Beat until stiff.
- Add vanilla.
- Frost cake.
