Chocolate Crinkles

A chocolate cookies rolled in powdered sugar and baked.  Good for Christmas or anytime!

Chocolate Crinkles

Ingredients

2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 tsp. vanilla
4 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate, melted and cooled
4 eggs
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Directions

Mix granulated sugar, vegetable oil, and vanilla in a large bowl.  Add eggs one at a time.  Sift in flour, baking powder and salt.  Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours until chilled.

Reserve powered sugar for use later.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Grease cookie sheets or use parchment paper.

Shape a teaspoonful of dough into a ball .  Roll each ball in powdered sugar.  Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet and bake 10-12 minutes or until no indentation remains when lightly touched in the center.

Remove from cookie sheet and cool on wire rack.
